Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 17, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of way2pdf at https://way2pdf.com (the “Site”) and the free document tools we provide (the “Service”). Please read them carefully. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information; these Terms explain the rules for using the Service.

1. Introduction and acceptance of terms

By visiting the Site, uploading a file, or using any tool on way2pdf, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use way2pdf; if you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian. You also represent that you have the legal right to use the Service and that your use complies with applicable laws where you live.

way2pdf does not require you to create an account or subscribe. Your use is anonymous in the sense that we do not operate a login system; however, standard technical data (such as IP address and request logs) may still be recorded as described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Description of service

way2pdf provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDFs and related documents, including but not limited to: conversion to and from formats such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, and images; merging and splitting PDFs; compression and optimization; OCR (text extraction from scans); password protection and unlocking (where you lawfully hold the password); signing, redaction, and comparison; voice-to-PDF and PDF-to-voice features; webpage-to-PDF capture; and in-browser code and data formatters (for example JSON, XML, SQL, and YAML).

The Service is offered at no charge and is supported in part by display advertising, including Google AdSense. We may add, change, or remove tools, impose reasonable technical limits (such as file size), or suspend the Site for maintenance or security without prior notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every file will process successfully in every case.

3. Acceptable use policy

You may use way2pdf only for lawful purposes and only with content you are entitled to process. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, convert, store (even temporarily), or distribute material that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or that exploits minors
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of others
  • Process documents you do not have the right to use (for example, confidential employer data without authorization, or personal data about others without a lawful basis)
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or files designed to disrupt systems or exfiltrate data
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or gain unauthorized access to our servers, networks, or other users’ sessions
  • Overload or automate abuse of the Service (including excessive automated requests or scraping) in a way that impairs operation for others
  • Reverse engineer the Site or circumvent technical limits except where applicable law expressly permits
  • Use the Service to build a competing product by systematically harvesting our outputs or documentation

We may block access, refuse processing, or cooperate with law enforcement if we reasonably believe your use violates these rules or poses risk to the Service or others. You are solely responsible for the content of files you submit and for how you use the results.

4. File upload and privacy

When you upload a file, it is processed on our servers to perform the operation you selected. way2pdf is not a cloud storage service: we do not keep your documents in a permanent library tied to your identity. Uploaded files and generated outputs are automatically deleted from our systems within one hour of your session, subject to the technical details in our Privacy Policy.

Because deletion is automatic, you are responsible for downloading any result you need before leaving the session. We do not maintain backups of your uploads or outputs and cannot recover files after they are deleted. Keep your own copies of important originals and processed files.

Important: Do not upload documents you cannot afford to lose if processing fails or if you forget to download the result. Sensitive data should only be submitted if you accept the risks described in these Terms and in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

Your documents. You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in the files you upload. way2pdf does not claim ownership of your content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit your files solely as needed to operate the Service you requested, and only for the brief period they remain on our systems.

Our Site. The way2pdf name, logo, website design, software, text, and branding are owned by way2pdf or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site or our branding without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of the tools as intended.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WAY2PDF DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that conversions, OCR, compression, merges, or other operations will be error-free, complete, or suitable for your purpose. PDF and Office formats are complex; layout, fonts, tables, and scanned images may not always convert perfectly. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it for legal, financial, medical, academic, or other critical uses. Some tools (such as AI-assisted summarisation or translation) may send extracted text to third-party APIs as described on the relevant tool page and in the Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WAY2PDF AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.

This includes, without limitation, damages for lost or corrupted files, inaccurate conversions, service outages, unauthorized access caused by factors outside our reasonable control, or reliance on processed documents. Because the Service is free, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law if lower.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

8. Third-party advertising

way2pdf displays third-party advertisements, including through Google AdSense, to help keep the tools free. Google and other ad partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, and (where you have consented or where permitted by law) personalise advertising based on your visits to this and other websites.

Your interactions with advertisers are governed by their own policies. For example, you can learn how Google uses data at Google’s Advertising Policies and manage ad personalisation through Google Ads Settings. way2pdf does not control third-party ad content and is not responsible for products or services advertised by third parties.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be noted on the Site. Your continued use of way2pdf after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another state’s laws. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
